Yanir is a Director for Global Cybersecurity Strategy & Transformation at PwC Israel, leading PwC’s global Center of Excellence for ICS/OT and critical infrastructure protection. Before joining PwC, Yanir was the head of the cybersecurity operations of the Ministry of National Infrastructures, Energy and Water Resources and the Water & Sewage Authority. In this capacity he led two strategic projects for the government of Israel: designing and managing the development of Israel's National C-SOC for Critical Infrastructures; and subsequently managing the C-SOC on behalf of the Ministry of National Infrastructures, Energy and Water Resources and the Water & Sewage Authority.
Earlier in his career, Yanir served for over 10 years in a range of Israeli Government Security positions, both in the defensive and the offensive cyber arenas.
At the Israel Security Agency (ISC), he was part of the technology unit and specialised in the areas of cellular and computer technology. His specialisation included Cybersecurity architecture, mapping complex systems, identifying security gaps and mitigating them. With the Israeli National Information Security Agency (NISA), Yanir was instrumental in establishing the organisation as the regulator for Government ministries and corporations specified by the law.
Yanir guides Cybersecurity start-up companies and academic centers researching new Cybersecurity methodologies and technologies.
