Katja Bego is a senior researcher and data scientist in Nesta’s technology futures team, and coordinator of EU Engineroom, helping drive the European Commission's ambitious new Next Generation Internet initiative, which seeks to build a more democratic, resilient and inclusive internet by 2052. Her work primarily focuses on the impact of digital technologies on our societies, democracies and physical space (from cities to the environment). Katja previously worked as a data scientist in the private sector and as a researcher at the MIT Media Lab. She holds a degree in economics and political science from Wellesley College in the United States.
