Chief Strategy Officer at Rasmussen Global; Senior consulting fellow, International Institute for Strategic Studies; member of La République en Marche Fabrice has 20 years of experience in strategic affairs and international public policy. He’s leading Rasmussen Global’s political practice where he provides strategic advice to private and sovereign clients on geopolitical issues, Brexit and EU policies. He has also initiated the Transatlantic Commission on Election Integrity bringing together leading figures from politics, media and technology including former US VP Joe Biden and former UK Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg. Fabrice served as Director of Policy Planning for two successive NATO Secretary Generals Anders Fog Rasmussen and Jens Stoltenberg. While at NATO he developed some of the Alliance’s most consequential initiatives such as the Readiness Action Plan and Smart Defence, and shaped the priorities of four major Summits. He advised the Secretary Generals during major crises such as Libya and Ukraine. Before his time at NATO, Pothier founded Carnegie Europe part of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, which became one of Europe’s leading foreign policy think-tanks. He was the co-founder of the International Council on Security and Development where he led global advocacy campaigns on public health and security issues, including in Afghanistan, where he co-founded an addiction care centre with the Afghan Red Crescent. He started his career in London as a senior risk analyst for Japanese energy group Osaka Gas ltd. Fabrice Pothier is widely published and quoted in the international media, and regularly speaks on international affairs and security issues. He is also actively engaged in President Macron’s La République en Marche, especially in the fifth district of French people leaving abroad (Spain, Portugal, Andorra and Monaco). He has recently completed a 700km bike ride across southern France and norther Spain to meet people and talk about Europe. He holds two Masters degrees in politics from the UK and France, and speaks French, English and Spanish. He lives with his wife and five children in Spain (Santander) and works across Europe.
