Vice-minister of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania

As Vice-Minister of National Defence, Mr. Edvinas Kerza took the position as of 21 February 2017. Before assuming the new assignment, he was in charge of managing key information systems projects at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania. He also worked at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Lithuania to the European Union. Mr. E. Kerza holds a Master’s degree in Statistics and BSc Engineering Informatics degree from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. For his meritorious service, Mr. E. Kerza is awarded the Commemorative sign of the President of the Republic of Lithuania. Mr. E. Kerza speaks English, French and Russian. He is 38 years old; is married and has two daughters. His scope of activities at the Ministry of National Defence includes national cybersecurity policy, policy for development and security of electronic communications and information systems used for national security and defence purposes, communications and information systems of the national defence system, state budget appropriations for the national defence system.
